It owns Inter IKEA Holding S.A. registered in Luxembourg, which owns Inter IKEA Systems B.V, registered in the Netherlands, and thereby controls the intellectual property of the IKEA brand. Ingvar Kamprad, the founder of IKEA, and his family control the Interogo Foundation. Royalties of 3% on all IKEA products has resulted in the foundation controlling assets valued at US $15 billion. ==History == The foundation was founded on the 29 March 1989 in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. The aim of the foundation is to secure the continued existence of Inter IKEA Holding S.A. and to influence the leadership of the company.
